在 DSE English Paper 2 中，Report 是其中一種較少出現、但格式及寫作目的較為明確的文體。歷屆題目主要涉及社會議題、生活現象及新聞事件，考生需要根據題目設定，以客觀及有條理的方式整理資訊、解釋問題或報道事件。

與 Essay 相比，Report 更重視報告對象、寫作目的及文章格式；與 Article 相比，Report 通常不需要刻意營造娛樂性或吸引讀者的語氣。

DSE 英文作文 Report 是甚麼？

Report 是一種以清晰、客觀及有條理的方式整理資訊、分析問題或報道事件的實用文體。

DSE 的 Report 題目通常會提供一個明確的情境，要求考生完成特定任務，例如：

• 解釋某個社會現象的原因

• 分析一個問題及提出改善方法

• 討論某個現象能否持續

• 報道一宗事件及其後續發展

• 加入不同人士的看法

因此，寫 Report 時最重要的是清楚回應題目要求，而不是套用一個固定內容框架。

DSE Report 有甚麼主要特點？

寫 Report 時可以記住以下四點：

1. 清晰（Clear）

直接進入主題，不需要像 Article 一樣花很多篇幅設計吸引人的開場。

2. 客觀（Objective）

以事實、事件及合理分析為主，避免過度加入個人感受。

3. 有條理（Organised）

將不同內容分成清楚的段落，必要時使用小標題。

4. 針對題目（Task-focused）

題目要求你解釋原因，就應集中分析原因；要求提出建議，就應提出具體方法。

寫 Report 前必做：先分析 Writing Task

在開始寫之前，先快速拆解題目。

1. 確認 Audience

先看清楚 Report 是寫給誰。

例如：

• school project → 老師或學校

• newspaper → 報章讀者

• magazine → 雜誌讀者

• organisation / company → 相關管理人員

Audience 會影響你的語氣及用字。

2. 確認 Purpose

留意題目中的主要動詞。

例如：

explain → 解釋原因或背景

suggest → 提出改善方法

discuss → 從不同角度討論

describe → 描述事件及發展

include thoughts and opinions → 加入不同人士的看法

3. 圈出 Content Requirements

這是 Report 最重要的步驟之一。

例如題目要求：

Explain why this is happening and suggest what could be done.

就代表至少要處理：

Why? → What can be done?

如果題目要求：

Describe the incident and what happened afterwards. Include thoughts and opinions from different people involved.

就應該處理：

What happened? → What happened afterwards? → What did different people think?

DSE Report 基本結構：由開首到結尾逐步拆解

Report 沒有一個適用於所有題目的固定段落數量，但一般可以按照以下思路組織。

1. Title：清楚指出報告主題

如果題目要求提供標題，標題應該簡單、直接及切合內容。

例如：

Report on the Decline of Cinema Attendance

或者：

Report on Hong Kong's NEETs

不需要使用非常花巧的標題。

2. Introduction：交代背景及寫作目的

開首主要讓讀者知道：

• 報告討論甚麼

• 為甚麼要寫這份 Report

• 接下來會處理甚麼問題

例如：

This report examines the reasons for the decline in cinema attendance in Hong Kong and suggests ways to attract more people to cinemas.

這類開首簡單直接，已經可以清楚交代寫作方向。

3. Body：根據題目發展內容

Body 是 Report 最主要的部分，寫作時可以按照題目要求分成不同段落。例如題目要求「解釋原因 + 提出建議」，可以安排：

第一部分：原因

One major reason is...

Another possible reason is...

第二部分：改善方法

One possible solution would be...

Another measure that could be introduced is...

如果題目要求報道事件，則可以按照事件發展順序：

事件發生 → 現場情況 → 後續發展 → 不同人士反應

4. Conclusion：簡單收束全文

如果題目適合，可以用一小段總結主要內容。

例如：

In conclusion, several factors have contributed to the decline in cinema attendance. With suitable changes to the cinema experience and pricing, more people may be encouraged to return to cinemas.

結尾主要作用是收束文章及回應題目，不要在 Conclusion 突然加入一個之前完全沒有提過的新論點。

Report 的語氣應該怎樣？

Report 一般應保持正式、客觀及清晰。

避免過度口語化

較適合：

This problem has become a growing concern and appropriate measures should be considered.

不需要完全避免第一人稱

Report 並不是「永遠不能使用 I」。

如果題目要求你以記者、學生或其他身份報道事件，可以根據情境使用：

I spoke to several students about the issue.

但如果只是分析一個社會問題，通常可以使用較客觀的表達：

The problem may be caused by...

DSE Report 寫作重點總結

寫 Report 不需要死背固定格式，最重要是按題目要求組織內容。

1. 看清 Audience、Purpose 及 Context。

2. 確保每項題目要求都有回答。

3. 使用正式、客觀及清晰的語氣。

4. 每段集中一個重點，保持條理。
