The chart illustrates the duration of various telephone call types made by residents of the UK from 1995 to 2002.
Throughout this period, local fixed line calls dominated, increasing from 72 billion minutes in 1995 to nearly 90 billion in 1998. However, after reaching this peak, the total for local calls declined to match the 1995 levels by 2002.
In contrast, national and international fixed line calls experienced consistent growth, rising from 38 billion to 61 billion minutes by the end of the period, although the pace of growth slowed down in the last two years. Notably, mobile calls surged dramatically from 2 billion to 46 billion minutes. This increase was particularly striking between 1999 and 2002, during which mobile phone usage tripled.
In conclusion, while local fixed line calls remained the most prevalent type in 2002, the difference among the three categories had significantly diminished in the latter half of the observed period.

The graph illustrates energy consumption in the United States from 1980 to 2012, along with projections for 2030.
Throughout this time frame, petrol and oil have remained the primary energy sources, starting at 35 quadrillion (35q) units in 1980 and increasing to 42q by 2012. After some fluctuations, there has been a consistent rise since 1995, which is anticipated to continue, reaching 47q by 2030. The United States is likely to continue its dependence on fossil fuels, with renewable and nuclear energy sources remaining relatively minor in comparison.
Natural gas and coal have exhibited similar consumption patterns over the years. In 1980, natural gas consumption was at 20q, while coal was at 15q. Initially, gas experienced a decline, whereas coal saw a gradual increase, with both fuels reaching parity between 1985 and 1990. Since 1990, their usage has varied, but both are currently at 24q. Coal consumption is expected to rise steadily to 31q by 2030, while natural gas is projected to stabilize at 25q after 2014.
In 1980, energy generation from nuclear, hydro, and solar/wind sources was equal, each contributing just 4q. Nuclear energy has increased by 3q, and solar/wind energy by 2q. After some minor increases, hydropower has reverted to its 1980 level and is expected to remain stable until 2030, while the other sources should see slight growth beyond 2025.

The first and second pie charts provide a comparison of energy consumption in an average Australian household and the corresponding greenhouse gas emissions resulting from that energy use.
Overall, while the patterns of energy usage and emissions are largely similar, a notable distinction exists in the area of heating. Households allocate 42% of their energy for heating purposes, yet this category only generates 15% of the emissions.
According to the first pie chart, heating represents the largest share of energy consumption at 42%. Water heating is the second largest, accounting for 30% of energy use. Other household appliances together consume 15% of energy, while refrigerators, lighting, and cooling contribute 7%, 4%, and 2%, respectively.
Regarding greenhouse gas emissions, other appliances generate 28% of the total emissions. Water heating slightly surpasses this figure, contributing 32%, which is 2% higher than its share of energy consumption. Heating and refrigeration account for 15% and 14% of emissions, respectively, while lighting and cooling are responsible for 8% and 3%.

The table presents the percentage of consumer spending in Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and Turkey on three categories of consumer goods in 2002.
Overall, all five countries allocated the largest portion of their expenditures to food, drinks, and tobacco, with spending in this category being three times greater than on the other goods. In contrast, leisure and education saw the lowest expenditure across all countries. Notably, Turkey's overall spending was higher than that of the other four nations.
In the category of food, drinks, and tobacco, Turkey led with 32.14% of its expenditure, followed closely by Ireland at 28.91%. Sweden, on the other hand, spent the least in this category at 15.77%. Spain and Italy allocated 18.80% and 16.36%, respectively. Conversely, leisure and education had the lowest spending, making up less than 5% of expenditures in all countries. Turkey again had the highest spending in this category at 4.35%, approximately double that of Spain, which spent 1.98%.
Clothing and footwear represented the third category of consumer goods, with expenditures ranging from 9% in Italy to 5.40% in Sweden. The average spending for the other countries in this category was around 6.5%.
